YOUNG COUPLES START THEIR LIVES TOGETHER AT CANAL CROSSING IN SOUTH BOUND BROOK

Canal Crossing

When Amy Cesario and fiancé, John Elter, decided their renting days were over, they began searching for their first home in Somerset County. The newly-engaged couple wanted something they could grow into as they started their lives together.

Amy first came upon Canal Crossing when she noticed a  sign for the new Matzel & Mumford townhome community in South Bound Brook.  With a location not far from her current home, Amy’s curiosity was immediately peaked.

“I continued to drive past the development to peek in, checked the website, and waited for signs that they were open for business,” she says.  “When they opened a sales office, we were so excited to go over and speak with someone.

“We fell in love instantly,” Amy continues.  “We continued to look at other communities, but nothing else compared.  It just felt right.  It was where we wanted to be.”

The couple sites the close proximity to the Bound Brook train station among the chief factors in their decision to purchase a home at Canal Crossing.

“The location is perfect; it works so well for both of us,” Amy points out.  “I am currently attending graduate school at Rutgers and John can conveniently catch the train just a few blocks from our home to work in Manhattan.”

Also appealing to Amy and John is the abundance of recreational activities near their new home.  The adjacent  70-acre Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park offers limitless outdoor sports and leisure activities, including canoeing, hiking, and biking.

“We can’t wait to take advantage of our new surroundings this spring,” says Amy excitedly.  “We’ve already made plans to purchase bikes and are looking forward to walks along the canal.”

Amy and John selected Canal Crossing’s Raritan model, a spacious three-bedroom design offering 2,096 square feet of living space.  They plan to move in this April, joining a number of fellow neighbors who have also purchased homes at Canal Crossing.

“This is an exciting time as we welcome our first homeowners,” notes Glenn Ward, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Matzel and Mumford Organization, Canal Crossing’s developer.

“It’s always thrilling to watch the transformation of a construction site to an active, thriving community.”
